It's been a while since I've posted anything at all, which has been a bit disheartening.  There's a whole slew of reasons for this, joining a Greek organization at school, heavy class load, all of that. But more importantly, I've become so jaded that I don't see anything anymore.  It's not that I fail to see the beauty in objects (I don't), but it's also that I don't see the evil or debauchery in things anymore.  I don't find linear shadow patterns interesting, I find that any pictures of friends are suitable for advertisements for the school.  Either that or I just shoot intramural sports for the hell of it.  Go figure.  The Canon 40D reall

I'd always heard "wait til you see a gorgeous print in person, you will wonder how you judged things on a screen."  I'd always doubted that a bit.  I mean, a monitor does a good job.  You can see how things look, good tones, etc.  I thought that. But I was wrong.  And I willingly admit that I was wrong.  Gorgeous prints are something to revel in.  These print scans I've put up, well, they came from a cheap "all-in-one" scanner/printer/copier thing.  They were adjusted on an uncalibrated monitor.  They're wonderful in person, but they look terrible on screen. I'd always thought that just having a good image is better than having a good print
